- Are you annoyed by these DF0:???? and PC0:???? icons?
- Do you have GigaMem installed and you dislike the DH0:VMEM icon?
-
- Then this program is for YOU!
-
- 1. Copy it to your C: directory.
-
- 2. Replace the C:LoadWB line in your startup-sequence with
- C:NewLoadWB ALL QUIET.
-
- 3. Enjoy.
-
- Instead of ALL you can specify a list of devices to be hidden from Workbench.
-
- Example:
-
- NewLoadWB QUIET DF0
-
- will hide DF0:
-
- NewLoadWB QUIET DF0 DH1 PC0
-
- will hide DF0:, DH1: and PC0:
-
- Note that you must NOT enter a colon behind the device name.
-
- The QUIET switch will prevent useless output during the system startup.
-
- NewLoadWB without any arguments will do exactly the same as your original
- "C:LoadWB" did.
-
- NewLoadWB requires the LoadWB command to be present in the C: directory -
- DO NOT DELETE IT!
-
- This program was tested with Kickstart/Workbench 3.1, but
- it should work with Kickstart 2.04 or better. I believe that you will need
- the LoadWB command from Workbench 2.1 - I am not sure about this.
- If NewLoadWB does not work, please give me a short note.
-
- As the source code is provided for educational purposes (big smile!), you
- may also fix it for yourself (very big smile!).
-
- This program is public domain, but if you like it so much that you wish
- to give me some note, money, presents, etc. go ahead.. :-)
